1. Rural saffron tourism

At the end of the harvest, around the second fortnight of November, the earth is ploughed, leaving it ready for the rain and snow of the winter.

2. Cultural, architectonic and culinary tourism
    around the farming area

There are countless places of interest around our town Peñas de San Pedro, where both our rural space and farm are located.

The first place we want to highlight is our own town and its cultural schedule:  www.penasdesanpedro.es

Following you can see a list of towns of interest, and a link to each one of them so that you can appreciate the great variety of activities one can enjoy during your stay in our rural space.

  • www.albacete.es. One of the great wealths of our town is how close it is from the city of Albacete, which offers a wide variety of culture and entertainment.

  • www.lezuza.es The town of Lezuza possesses a remarkable past. The recent archaeological excavations testify the existence of an Oretan oppidum as old as the 5th century BC, which played a relevant role after the Roman conquest at the end of the 3rd century BC due to its singular geographic location, which was an important stop in the Via Augusta, one of the great roads the Romans built during their stay in current Spain.

  • www.ayna.es Also known as “the Switzerland of La Mancha”, Ayna is nestled in Albacete’s mountain range of Sierra del Segura, in a narrow canyon forged by the Mundo river. The town has grown constrained by the watercourse and the spectacular sharp walls that enclose it.

  • www.riopar.com This is where the Mundo river springs to life, in the area of Los Chorros (Spanish for “streams”). This natural enclave is located some 8km from the town of Riópar, inside the Natural Park of Los Calares del Mundo y de la Sima.
